Relax and ReCharge with

Reflexology

What is reflexology and how does it work?

Reflexology is a profoundly relaxing, unique touch technique that targets specific points on the feet, hands, and ears to promote wellness, relieve pain, and release tension.

The reflex points are based on maps of the entire body that are superimposed on the feet, hands, and ears. For example, pressure applied to a point on the foot that corresponds to the neck has the intention of helping release tension in the neck.

While the exact mechanisms that result in enhanced wellness from reflexology are still in the process of being understood, the current, leading theory is that reflexology works with the nervous system. By stimulating nerve endings on the feet, hands, and ears, reflexology assists the body in achieving and maintaining a more balanced and healthy state of being.

Why reflexology?

Reflexology is a gentle, relaxing, non-invasive technique that assists your body's own healing processes. An individual session gives you the time and space to focus on your wellness goals. Whether you have been prevented from enjoying activities you love due to chronic pain, recovering from an injury or surgery, wanting to relax to support a healthy pregnancy, or are training for your next marathon, reflexology has something to offer. Each session is unique and suited to the client's needs. Reflexology can also be incorporated into a self-care routine. Since no special tools are required, reflexology can also be performed on-site as businesses to reduce stress, improve employee morale, and boost productivity.

What should I expect in a reflexology session?

Above all, you will find a welcoming, comfortable place to support your wellness path. I take the time to listen to each client's individual needs and goals and then develop the session accordingly. All written and verbal communication between myself and the client remains strictly confidential. With a client's permission, I am happy to coordinate with any other integrative wellness practitioners or medical professionals in order to achieve the best results for the client.

What should I wear to my appointment?
Reflexology is a touch technique that is performed with the client fully clothed, except for shoes and socks. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing including pants that can be easily rolled above the knee, or shorts.

What happens in a reflexology session?
During your first appointment, we will begin the session by reviewing your health and wellness history together, setting goals, and taking the time to answer any questions you may have. The session itself will consist of nurturing touch on the ears, hands, and feet, and to a lesser extent the lower leg. Reflexology should never be painful, so it is important to provide feedback to the practitioner. You are free to relax and enjoy the session. You are welcome to talk, but do not feel obligated to do so.

How much does a session cost?
Current pricing can be found on the appointment booking page.
Reduced pricing is available when you become a member, or book multiple sessions in advance.

Do you accept insurance?
Currently, health insurance plans do not cover reflexology. We hope this changes in the future so we can better serve our community.
